Club Name: - SATURDAY ART CLUB.

Object: - To give local people the opportunity to learn and practice the art of drawing and painting with advice from others.
Equal Opportunites:-Will not discriminate against any person due to age, gender, colour, creed or Disability.
Elected Office Bearers:-At present the Committee consists of Chairman/President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Administration:-The committee will be responsible for the overall running of the club, but will liaise with members on all matters.
Finances:-A bank account in the Club's own name has been opened and a cheque book issued in the name of "Saturday Art Club"
Signatories - Cheques raised from the club account will require 2 signatures (each of the 3 officers having had a signature registered with the Bank)
Fees:-New Members will be asked for a joining fee of £10.00p. All Members are expected to pay two half yearly fees of £30-00p, to be paid at the start of each session. Anyone joining part way through a session will be required to pay the full fee for that session. Fees are for full session and must be paid to retain membership, There is no pro rata system in place for individual Club meetings or workshops Fees will be reviewed at the A.G.M.
Prospective Members:- (Excluding Ex- Members) - They will be allowed to attend on two consecutive weeks without paying fees before deciding to join. If a Tutort is present Prospective Members will be asked to pay a minimum fee of £5, which will be reimbursed on joining.
Visitors:-Visitors to Bute may attend Club meetings for a maximum of two visits per year. They will be asked to pay £2 per visit or, if a tutor is present, the fee will be a mininum of £5.
Use of Funds:-Club funds may be spent on a regular meeting venue, tutors, the staging of exhibitions and the purchasing of materials to be used by tutors if necessary, and administration costs.
Refreshments:-Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided free of charge at ordinary club meetings.
Exhibitions:-The Club will take part in at least one exhibition of its work each year and if possible join other groups such as textiles, pottery etc in order to appeal to a wider audience.
Club Meetings:-Will be on a weekly basis starting in September, with a break for Christmas and summer holidays.Any change of venue must be agreed by a majority of members.
Tutors:-A selection of different tutors will be discussed and agreed covering many aspects of drawing and painting depending on specific requests and the ability of the Club to fund sessions.
Liability:-The Club will not be liable for injuries to any person during Club activities, nor will it be liable for damage or loss of personal property. However the Club is now insured for Third Party Liability through the SAA.
